I must be getting old…

High school me would have idolized Trevor for his spit-in-your-eye attitude, mouthing off to authority and doing crime.

Thirty-year-old me was instantly exhausted by his petulant, self-important hissy fits.

A likely hero and rebel and martyr in teenage Austin’s eyes, adult Austin sees him as just a bratty attention-seeker with a surfeit of testosterone and lots of misdirected anger.

When he finally strikes out and lands himself in a holding cell, I found myself hoping he would finally get his ass kicked and felt disappointed when the officer flogged him only once with his truncheon.
